Sandkaas Family Camping

​Sandkaas Familiecamping is one of the oldest camping sites on the island and has been owned and run by us since 1999.

Back in 1999 we took a big decision and left good jobs behind in Copenhagen to start up this new life in Sandkaas.

What started out with 5 primitive huts has developed into 24 modern ones and many great utilities.

Every Winter we spend expanding and renovating the site to make it more atrractive to our guests.
During the winter 14/15 we have had one large project that we managed to complete:

We build a modern pool with a removable roof so it can be used also on the rare rainy days.
So – we are busy around the year but have not for one second regretted the decision made back in 1999.

We hope for a sunny season 2017. Last year was fantastic – well, actually in general the weather is sunny in Sandkaas so please come.

It’s important to us that we have a site with a nice, clean and cosy atmosphere with modern facilities. We believe we have succeeded but please come and check it out. And why not also come during winter - we keep Category 3 cabins open all year. It’s still wonderful during winter. 

Nothing better like going for a long hike on Hammeren only to go back to a warm cottage to enjoy a glass of wine, coffee or whatever.

Our site consists of several playgrounds, table tennis, minigolf, modern kitchen, large family bathrooms, cafe with free WIFI in the area. And now also a pool. We clean the toilet as a minimum three to five times as day during peak season and more if necessary.

Your dog is more than welcome as long as you register it and remember to keep in on a leech – and clean up after it.
The beach with a pier can be reach by foot in less than 10 minutes – in itself a beautiful walk. A larger and likewise wonderful beach – Sandvig Strand – can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car – or four km by bike. Not to forget Vang Strand also only 10 minutes by car.
